Balay Suanoy

Balay Suanoy is one of the fine dining restaurant here in my province. They offer good food with big servings (based on our experience). They serve more of filipino dishes and bicolano cuisines. It is located in Pag-Asa street, Daraga, Albay.

I heard Balay Suanoy from my boyfriend. I thought it was like the imitation of Balay Cena Una because they both have Balay in their names. LOL Anyway, it was our first time to visit their place and taste their food so here are some evidences that we took a lot of pictures. :)

GREAT FOOD

Mushroom Soup
I don't know why but I really love mushroom soups. Maybe because it's creamy and thick. Their Soup is a yum yum. I recommend it.

Suanoy Chicken
This is their very own chicken with big fried potatoes and cucumber on its side. This dish has a great taste but we find the chicken a little bit dry. And it doesn't come with a special sauce so we just asked for ketchup. And because I'm a ketchup addict, I enjoyed this chicken a lot. It's another yum.

Pasta Marinara
Pasta Marinara is another creamy pasta that we've tasted. It's a white seafood pasta. It's delicious and a must try.

Pasta Cornelio
I find this more delicious than Marinara. It's creamier and tastier than the other pasta. We also find the serving of the both pasta greater than other fine dining restaurant. Which is great because it comes with friendly price too. :)

Suanoy's Ref Cake
So because we ate a lot for the main dish we just ordered one dessert for that night. This is their very own ref cake which is not really impressive but not a disappointment. It doesn't really have a special taste but it was delicious and cheap. :)

Yummy dinner at Balay Suanoy

Food trip again.
All in all we didn't really regret that we went here and taste their food. The ambiance and place is also good. It has a touch of native Bicolano delicacy and there are a lot of old things from the past which I think been treasured by the owner and have it placed in the restaurant. Here are some photos that we took inside the restaurant after eating. :)

GREAT PLACE

CWC 7th year anniversary

Last August 2011 was a blast for me and my boyfriend. We celebrated our 7th year anniversary in Camarines Sur Water Sports Complex a.k.a CWC in Cam Sur.

We had an early reservation in Villa del Rey Containers which only cost us PHP3,400 for two nights. This was the second cheapest (as far as I know) homes that you could stay into if you'll be visiting CWC. Actually there are a lot of different lodging rooms that you could choose from near the place, we just chose The Containers because it's not so expensive and the room was great.

The cheapest of all the homes or rooms that you could avail is The Tiki Hut which will only cost you PHP1,000 per night.

From Legazpi to Cam Sur, it took us for about an hour and a half travel by van. The trip wasn't so stressful. Actually, we didn't feel that we spent almost two hours at the van. The scenery on our way was fantastic, so we didn't feel any dizziness at all.

big pool @ CWC

After we ate our late lunch we quickly changed our clothes because we were both excited to roam around the place. We were lucky then because there are a lot of people in CWC that time. Actually, foreigners. The picture above shows the big pool in that place. This is where the professional wake boarders do their thing and where people can do knee boarding. But because we were just amateurs, (honestly, just our first time to do wake boarding) so this is where we belong.

smaller pool for amateurs and for starters

At first we were both nervous but of course excited to try this sport. There were bunch of Kuya's who taught us the right way to do it. It wasn't so hard actually but we fell lots of time at the pool, which is very normal for beginners. But we kept trying until we knew that we were not falling from the pool anymore. That was way too cool. :)

after millions of tries.. FINALLY!

It was a great experience. I hope each one of you could try this kind of sports. It's really fulfilling. Anyway, the rates  for wake boarding isn't so expensive. There is a separate rate for beginners and professionals. (Darn! I forgot what's the rate for beginners. But I think it cost 150 to 350 per head only for one hour. It is also inclusive of one hour free swimming at the pool near tiki huts.)

Wake boarding isn't the only activity that you could enjoy there. You could also swim and enjoy their Lago. In here you can enjoy those big stuffs floating in that big pool. You could climb on it, steps on it, run on it as long as you keep yourself safe, it's ok for you do to whatever you want here. :D

behind those abs are floating balloons that you could enjoy

It wasn't really that scary.

They'll be providing you safety gears to float.

Lastly, the foods. Haha. We had a great time eating at their own restaurant because the foods were all delicious. The waiters were also very friendly and attentive. They are also neat. Here are some foods that we've ordered.

banana split

bacon cheese with mushroom omelet

barbecue
