Free Pass to The Oriental's Zombie Zone

Hello guys. Sorry for the delays of my update. I didn't get so much time to post on this blog recently. Just got busy from work and other priorities. I hope you are all doing okay. :) Anyways, if you read my last post about my victory in winning two contests then that's great, you can relate to this post, but if not, please feel free to read it here. Enjoy.

The Zombie Zone event at The Oriental Hotel Legazpi happened last October 26, 2013, Saturday at around 3pm. I was asked to go there 30 minutes before the event to get the free tickets. Free tickets are only for 2, 1 adult and 1 child, so because I brought my niece, I paid for the other ticket which cost me P450.00.

My victory! Another winning moment.

Hello guys. Kumusta kayong lahat? (How are you all today?) I have something to share again and another thing to look forward to. :D

Just recently, I joined two Facebook contest hosted by Bigg's Diner and The Oriental Hotel Legazpi.

Fortunately, I WON BOTH contests. :D

The mechanics of the contest was easy. Each participant has to upload a photo showing the way or ways to enjoy Bicol and what it has to offer. Together with the picture, we have to include a story explaining the relevance of the photo. The caption must not exceed 200 words. For more contest mechanics you may refer to this. Now, I want to share my winning piece. Enjoy reading. I hope you'll appreciate it.

My simple entry at Bigg's goes something like this. :) As a novice food and place blogger, I have discovered that Bicol is a place of beauty and gratification. And I am just so lucky because I lie in my own pride.
As seen in the picture, there are a lot of ways to enjoy BICOL. Its place, food, events and people. The first four photos from the left show how we enjoy running at the Embarcadero jogging lane. The 5th and 6th photo show how we embrace native food and Bicolano delicacy. The 7th picture shows how Bicolanos are concerned about staying fit and healthy. The 8th and 9th photo show how we celebrate events in luxurious hotel. The 10th and 11th photo show how we revel in pools, beaches and water sports activity. The 12th photo shows how we enjoy the majestic, perfect coned Mayon. The last photo represents how we savor each other and how beautiful Bicolanos are. 
We never fail to smile despite of difficulties. THIS is a place of smile. THIS is a region of beauty that every Filipino will admire. Dwelling here is such an honor. I am proud of what we have to enjoy and explore.

There you have it. I'm just so happy that they chose me as one of their winners. :) The winner is entitled of free 30 meals at any Bigg's Diner branch. I will be given an I.D that serves as my claim stub for the meal.No purchase is required. I can order any meal I want as long as it is available and good for one. The meal is for dine-in only. I can't have it for take out.And I can only claim one meal per day. Not bad as a prize right? I think I'll get fat again. Nah.(I'm taking Frontrow's Luxxe Slim.It has L-Carnitine and Green Tea extract.It converts my fats into energy. So, it's like losing weight in a healthy way. The other contest was held by The Oriental Hotel Legazpi. They will be having an event tomorrow, October 26, 2013 at 3:00pm to 6:00pm. It's called The Zombie Zone. Actually, I'm not really into Halloween events or party.I just gave it a try for my nephew and niece. Anyway, there's no harm in trying. :)

I just followed the steps and fortunately, I WON. :)

The winner is entitled to bring a kid along to the event. I'm planning to bring 2 kids with me so I have to pay the other one. :) The kids must be in zombie costume. We are going to participate in their events for free. There are also snack buffets, lootbags and some games for the children. I'm excited for my niece and nephew. I feel so lucky this week. I will update you guys about the Zombie Zone event tomorrow. My problem now is, where will I find a zombie costume for my niece and nephew? Haha. Shawarma Rice by Leylam Shawarma

Hello there again. Hah!!! TGIF guys. I'm not so busy today and I am really excited tomorrow because it's weekend. YEY. :DDD I look forward to your happy weekend as well.

Yesterday, I had this cravings for shawarma. Shawarma is one of my favorite food next to siomai. :) So, I promised myself to treat myself one. And yes, super yes, I had my cravings satisfied.

Shawarma Rice at Leylam. It costs 65php with egg and 55php w/o egg. 

Actually, I was a bit surprised because I didn't know that shawarma can be matched with rice. But this food doesn't have an acquired taste. I think everyone will like it. It's creamy and delicious. :) This is a must try. Anyway, Leylam Shawarma has only one branch here in Legazpi. It is located inside Savemore Metro Hub, Central Bus Terminal Complex, Legaspi City, Albay, Philippines.

Food Box Express

Hello my fellas. How are you? I've been very busy again as usual. So, as much as I wanted to update my blog, I just can't due to my busy schedule. Anyway, the most important thing is I can update it now. :D

Just recently, I surprised my boyfriend by visiting him at the hospital where he's working. That was about lunch time so I asked him if we could go out for  a while and eat our lunch together. Fortunately, he said yes. I'm just lucky he was not so toxic that time. (That's how they call it.)

He asked me if I wanted to try the newly opened FOOD BOX EXPRESS near the hospital because that's where he ordered his food. (Yes, he already ordered food because he didn't know that I will visit him.) This take out bar is owned by the family of Christine Beatriz, one of my boyfriend's co-worker before. :) So, just to make the statement short, we went there and had our lunch. :) Here are some photos. :)

Located at Washington Drive, Legazpi City near Aquinas Hospital and across Mercury Drug Store.

The place is just small and simple but it has a cozy ambiance. It is also very neat and eco-friendly. People here are also very friendly. They won't even doubt to give you a smile. :)

It is actually a take out bar but they also let other customers dine inside. They also have this special menu everyday. Their food comes in a box. (But actually, it's not really a box. It's more of a cup sized container which one meal is suited.) They offer mostly rice-toppings menu that you'll surely love. They also serve snacks and barbecues. This is best for busy people who don't have much time to cook.and for others who have important errands and are always on the go.

I ordered Chicken Teriyaki.

Celebrating 9th!!!

Hey there everyone. :) I miss all of you. (If I have a reader. Ha-ha) It's been quite sometime since I posted somethin'n here, right? Anyway, I've been busy these past few months and focus myself too much at work. LOL. I'm here again to share something about what happened in our 9th year of love. I hope your getting what am I saying here. YES! My lovelife. Hah!!! So let me start.

My boyfriend and I went on a 3-day vacation last August 4-6 of 2013 (of-course). We went to CWC (Camsur Watersports Complex) to do wake boarding. We missed it and we want to practice more to be a pro. And it's a bit cheap as well that's why we decided to stay there. We were just a bit unfortunate because the big pool is under reinvention. It was closed and will reopen this August 2013, but they didn't give us definite date on when but you can ask them directly through the numbers posted at the end of this post. But we were still able to enjoy the heat and the water sports at the beginner's pool. :) The highlight of this post is not really this, but this!!! YES!!! My boyfriend surprise me a dinner date on the night of our anniversary date, August 6th at Hotel Venezia (Caffe San Marco) here in our city. It was really a surprise because I was expecting to go home after we arrived in Legazpi City after our trip in CWC. He told me that we are just going to have a simple dinner there and then go home after. I refuse at first but because I can't resist his charm, I let go of myself and let him bring me in that hotel to eat our dinner. Haha. Well, honestly, I'm a bit excited too. Hihi. Here is a photo of us taken before he surprised me.



                             


I have ordered a pasta and a shake because I think that will only fit my appetite that night. My partner was still choosing his, until, one man came near us and was asking if we can move to another part of the hotel because there will be an event in the cafe where we are sitting. I thought it was a bad timing for us to eat there but I agreed, well, we both agreed that we can move to another side of the hotel. And then the man lead us to a small room where everything was set up. A candle light private dinner date with my boyfriend. Then I realized that they are just acting the whole time I got in there. And then I just smiled and looked at my boyfriend and said thank you. To my surprise, I think I was saying thank you the whole time. Then I laughed because the man who asked us to move was really great in acting. Haha. And when we got inside the private room, the man gave me the bouquet of flowers. So that made me realized again that these were all planned. And so I thanked him again. Haha. :D Here are some photos at that night. Enjoy. :)

I'm speechless. I said all the things I wanted to say already. It'll just be between us. But thank you for everything. It was a great night to remember. I also highly recommend Hotel Venezia. They did a great job in presenting everything. They also serve luscious lunch and dinner buffet with acoustic band at Caffe San Marco. It's tried and tested by yours truly. You must try it too. Thanks a lot.
